2013 Golf Classic

CenterLight Health System hosted its 14th Annual golf classic at the Century and Brae Burn Country Clubs in Purchase, New York, on July 8, 2013.  This year marked CenterLight’s most successful fundraiser to date, benefitting the Beth Abraham/CNR Foundation.  The event also continued CenterLight’s impressive – and uninterrupted – streak of raising more money each year than the year prior.

By supporting innovative programming, the funds raised enable CenterLight to improve the quality of life for the 14,000+ elderly and disabled patients we serve in the New York metropolitan area each day.

Programs under consideration include: a system-wide patient appreciation event to make our members feel special and to thank them for choosing CenterLight; a new bus to transport patients to a range of recreational and cultural activities throughout the city; and the installation of a Zen garden at one of our facilities, to provide a soothing, serene environment for members to enjoy.

Guests began the day with a buffet brunch and a trick shot entertainment show by virtuoso golf pro Tom Roskos. Approximately 160 golfers showcased their skills at the day’s events, which included a Putting Contest, Driving Range Contest, Longest Drive Contests, Hole In One Contest and Closest-to-the-Pin Contest.

After playing a full 18 holes at the Brae Burn and Century Clubs, the golfers  joined more than 90 additional sponsors and guests to enjoy cocktails and a lavish buffet dinner at Century Country Club.  A lively awards presentation and raffle followed.

Beyond helping CenterLight to provide exceptional patient care, the event united employees from diverse departments, functions and locations across the system to volunteer, network and contribute to this worthy cause, in support of our mission.
