(PURCHASE, NY) CenterLight Health System hosted its 17th annual Golf and Tennis Classic at Century Country Club in Purchase, New York on June 27, 2016. The Classic benefits CenterLight's Foundation, which creates innovative programming to help restore and maintain the dignity of the frail, elderly and disenfranchised individuals who are entrusted to us.
For nearly 100 years, CenterLight Health System has helped the frail and elderly live their best lives by providing high-quality care through residential and community-based programs serving New York City, Long Island, Westchester and Rockland County.
The generosity of this year’s donors enable CenterLight to improve the quality of life for the 11,000+ elderly and disabled patients the organization serves each day throughout the New York metro area. Some recent projects funded by the Foundation include: field trips; entertainment, such as music, lectures and film; iPads for our centers, to help keep our participants informed, entertained and connected; and community outreach and education programs at our various sites.
Following a buffet brunch, approximately 90 golfers showcased their skills on the greens with such popular events as the Hole-In-One Contest and the Closest-to-the-Pin Contest. Tennis aficionados spent the day enjoying friendly competition and sharpening their skills with Century Country Club tennis pros.
In the evening, over 75 sponsors enjoyed cocktails and a lavish buffet dinner served on the terrace of the club. The gala dinner concluded with a lively awards presentation, raffle drawing and prize presentation.
Beyond helping CenterLight provide exceptional patient care, the event joined employees from across the system to volunteer, network and contribute to this worthy cause.
