Stroke
Experiencing a stroke, or blood loss to the brain, can leave you or your loved one with serious impairments such as the inability to move your arms or legs, speak, see, or carry out day-to-day activities. Of the more than 700,000 individuals in the United States who are affected by stroke annually, thousands experience moderate to severe impairment requiring special care. The health-care team at CenterLight Health System offers stroke survivors high quality health care to help them recover and adapt to their limitations.
Our rehabilitation centers use state-of-the-art techniques, in conjunction with traditional methods, to return individuals to their homes in the shortest amount of time possible.
We offer residential care for individuals recovering from a stroke in our four skilled nursing facilities. Specialized services for those individuals are also integrated into many of our other programs. Please call us at 718-636-1000 for more information to determine which program is right for you.

Residential Stroke Care
Serving the Bronx community for over 90 years, our caring staff provides skilled nursing care and rehabilitation for individuals recovering from stroke. Our state-of-the art rehabilitation facility is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for its Stroke Specialty and Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Programs. We offer virtual rehabilitation, in conjunction with traditional physical, occupational and speech therapy for stroke survivors. We also offer innovative music therapy programs.
